Penny is a self-diagnosed curd nerd, with 20 years experience in the food industry.
She has been at the forefront of the specialty cheese sector as a retailer and commentator and is a passionate supporter and promoter of Australian producers. She was Executive Officer of the Australian Specialty Cheesemakers' Association for five years, and currently serves as a cheese judge both here and interstate.

L'Artisan The Extravagant
Lush, rich and finger-licking-good. This is a guaranteed way to fire up any party. It goes fabulously with bubbles too “darling”.
Milawa King River Gold
An Australian classic. Perfect in a sandwich or melted over potatoes. Flavours are savoury, milky and it has a strong aroma, but the bark is worse than the bight - always a crowd favourite. This is one of the first hand made washed rind cheeses made in Australia.
Berry’s Creek Oak Blue
A blue cheese from the maker of the some of the best blues in Australia This is rich and buttery blue, with a good strong flavour. I love the distinctive blue lines / veins. The milk from Gippsland is particularly rich, they have good soils, the best for potatoes, asparagus and dairy.
Epoisses
Pungent, stinky and big-flavoured. A cows milk cheese, made in Burgundy, France. Washed in Marc de Bourgogne which brings on the funk. This cheese is best eaten on bread with big red wine.
La Tur
Mixed Milk Magic.Life changing cheese. This Robiola has cow, sheep and goat milk. The texture of melted ice-cream and a sexy geotrichum rind.
I challenge you not to eat the paper.
Ossau Iraty
Ewes milk cheese from the Basque Pyrenees. Sweet, nutty and balanced. Super snacky. Serve with cherry jam or your favourite chacuterie.
